Jane felt her ears warm with embarrassment.
"Y-yeah. I knew that," she retorted as Eiron walked by.
She cast one more glance around and stepped out. It was like walking through weak plastic wrap or strong cobwebs. She decided that she didn't care much for the feeling. She glanced at Eiron and Sven chewing her lip thoughtfully. They were so much more adept than her. She couldn't help but wonder why she was even here. She pushed the feeling away.
"Well that was different."

Sven gave her a little shrug, "you get used to it. My brother Reinhardt has a hard time with it though. The best way I can describe it, is the place sort of... kicks him out. Violently."
Eiron spun around once Sven was done with Jane, and handed her a helmet. It looked like a smaller version of a motorcycle helmet. It had the same general shape, but smaller. He gestured up towards her head, "Put it on. I'm still working on the suit, but I want to test the helmet. I tested it myself, and never saw the shade even turn on. It literally turns on faster than the blink of an eye."
He sat back and waited for her to put it on. Once she did, he held out a pen light, "Use this to check the lens. The battery is almost dead, so it's not bright at all. At the very most, it might make you uncomfortable. let me know if light is still affecting you. If it is, I have another way that might work, but it would be a mite more... invasive."

Jane turned to reply to Sven to find that he had vanished. "Wh- Does he usually do that?" she asked.
She looked at the helmet and then gave Eiron a thumbs up.
"Alright," she said with a nod. "Let's try it."
She carefully took the helmet and put it on. The fit was snug, but it felt pretty well ventilated. She still couldn't wrap her mind around how he put together a working piece of equipment so quickly.
Jane nodded her consent to the light test. Part of her was excited by the idea of it. The other was pretty sure she was about to get shined in the eye with a penlight. There was a momentary flash of pain that completely ruined her ability to see for about 10 seconds, but that wasn't altogether unusual. She winced and shook her head to clear her vision.
"Close. Really close. Ow."

"Hmmm...."
Eiron stroked his chin before reaching up and gently taking the helmet off her head. He stared at it for about 30 seconds before he reached in to a heap of scrap plastic and pulled a piece out that was about a foot long and a few inches long. He nodded and then grabbed a drill, drilling to small holes in to the top of the helmet, and then coinciding holes in the plastic. Grabbing a couple of plastic plugs out of a bin full of nuts and bolts, he mounted the piece of plastic to form a sort of visor. Unbolting the sensors from their positions on the side of the helmet, he rebolted them to the visor. He immediately handed the helmet back to her, "Okay, now try. The light will hit the sensors long before it gets to the lens."

Jane watched Eiron made the quick addition. She slipped the helmet back on.
"Alright, let's try this again," she said.
She closed her eyes as she heard the light click on, but didn't feel any tingling or burning this time. Cautiously she opened her eyes and looked past the light at Eiron. She grinned.
"Ah! It's working! Eiron! It's working!" She slapped his arm excitedly.

"That- that's great! Now stop slapping me" He kind of weakly tried pushing her hands away from him, "I'm just a lab rat, I'm fragile!"
There was a snort from inside the tank and Eiron spun around, "SHUT UP SVEN! AND GET OUT OF MY TANK!"
Sven laughed, "Why the hell do you even have a tank kid! What are you going to do, drive in to the base?" there was a pause, "You're not going to drive this in to the base are you?"
Eiron scratched his head, "I hadn't really planned on what to do with it yet..."
He turned away before Sven could respond again and began working on the rest of the fabric lying in front of him, "The suit is just about done. It has detachable gloves, and will fasten to the bottom of the helmet. I'll leave the footwear up to you"

Jane took the helmet off and clumsily hugged Eiron.
She jumped back at Sven's snort and looked between Eiron and the tank as Sven and Eiron had their back and forth.
She scooted nearer to the table that Eiron was working at to watch.
"I...Thank you so much," she managed while she watched him work.

His hand came up and awkwardly patted her on the shoulder. Eiron was extremely thankful at that exact moment for the fact that he had the lights turned down so far. His face turned the most brilliant shade of red that was so bright, he thought Sven might hear how fast the blood was rushing to his face.
He sort of mumbled and scratched the back of his head again, as he was prone to do.
For a few moments, there was a dead silence in the room as Eiron worked. Sven showed no signs of coming out of the tank (although, he could just shadow meld his way out), and Eiron was intent on his work. His fingers flew deftly over the material, a large spool of thread that looked to be what the material he was working with was made out of. It didn't take him long to have a rough outline down. He tossed it to her, "Go try that on. I'm going to make the gloves real quick while you do, and then we'll put it all together to see if it works."

"Alright," she said taking the material. She paused.
"Uhm, where should I try this on?" she asked casting a wary glace at the tank. She'd never been very shy per se, but the outfit looked a bit too small to pull on over Eiron's clothes and she knew for a fact that her bra was still drying upstairs.

Eiron pointed over her shoulder to where they came in the room at, "Um... since my bedroom came down with us, that should be fine. Let me know if you need any... um... help..."
His voice trailed off, and he could hear Sven snickering again. The blood rose up to his cheeks and he turned back around, getting back to work on making gloves for the rest of the suit.
Once she started walking away, he'd watch her for a moment before Sven would appear next to him, "Real fucking smooth kid."
Eiron would try to stab him with a screwdriver, but he disappeared in to the shadows before it made contact.

Jane immediately blushed. How did she forget that?
"Right. Wow, right. I remember now. Yeah, I'll, uh, I'll be right back," she said starting back towards the hall that would lead to the elevator/bedroom that Eiron had cooked up. Was this all really happening?
She quickly slipped into the shadow on the wall to change just in case either of the guys walked in. She was careful not to leave Eiron's sweatpants or shirt in the wall once she'd finished. Overall the outfit fit quite snuggly, but she was sure that was supposed to be the point. It was somewhere between a leotard and long johns. She pulled Eiron's sweatpants back on and tugged the shirt back over her head as she walked back down the hall.

Sven appeared on the other side of Eiron, "Ya know, I could take you in to the shadows to watch her change."
This time Eiron only narrowly missed with the screwdriver as Sven went snickering in to the shadows. Eiron would turned towards Jane as he heard her coming out of the hall. Giving her a smile, he held up the helmet, "Looks like you got it on alright. Ready to try it on in tandem with the helmet?"

"Ha," Jane squeaked trying to sound confident, "Am I ready?" She swallowed, looked over at Eiron and gave a tentative thumbs up.
"How're we gonna do this?" She queried drawing up next to him.

Eiron sort of plopped the helmet on to her head, sort of shifting it to get it down all the way. Once it did, he fumbled for a series of buttons under the collar of the suit. Buttoning the collar up inside the helmet, he ran a zipper along the outside to secure it better.
"Sven was bothering me, so I didn't have a chance to finish the gloves... Just sort of... tuck your hands inside the sleeves for a moment? What I'll do is very slowly start turning up the lights in the room. As soon as you get any sort of discomfort at all, you let me know and the lights will get shut off."
He sat back down at his desk and rattled off a bunch of stuff on his keyboard before turning back to her, his hand on the dial that controlled the lights, "Are you ready?"

"Okay, uh... normally my clothes do fine so uhm. One sec," Jane slipped out of the sweatpants and sweatshirt taking care to ball her hands into the material.
She was thankful for the helmet. From the heat in her face she could tell she was blushing madly. She hoped the material was as opaque as it seemed to be.
"Alright, ready when you are," she said closing her eyes.

Averting his eyes for the same reason she was worried about, he spun the dial bit by bit. The lights began to fully come on in the room, and some of the other screens also whirred in to life. He went as slow as he possibly could, and went until they were fully on. He looked over at Jane, ready to switch all the lights in the room back off at a moment's notice.
"....So? Is it working?"
