Suggestions

Come suggest any changes that you'd like to see here.

I'm not new to roleplay at all, so I'm sort of bringing in ideas that I've seen done in the past. These are just sections that could be added to the character sheets. Some just add depth and more roleplay possibilities.


Position- If your character does have a job, what do they do? Are they a bank teller, or do they work at the mall's food court? Etc.

Relationships- Do they have any living or known family members that they contact regularly? Perhaps a friend or a girlfriend, or even a cat? These can be NPCs or otherwise.

Skills- Uncommon skills your character has; for instance, are they exceptionally good at one thing or another? Are they good at woodcraft, have some dang good medical knowledge? Perhaps they know how to fly a helicopter or pilot a plane? Etc.

Reputation- Have they been in the city for long, do they have a local reputation? Are they wanted for arrest? Are they known for making some dang good cookies? Etc. (Try to be realistic)

Hmm, I'm not sure about adding relationships or reputation since those can be a bit intimidating if you're not used to forums. I'll ask Amber if she can add the Position and Skills section.

Alternatively, reputation could be a altered into a 'Common Knowledge' section where someone could put what others have the possibility of knowing. Like let's say there was a carbomb on the news and Character Name Here was involved, that sort of information would go there so folks know what's alright for their character to know. O:

For instance, I'd put something in Whittle's about the fact that he goes shopping on only a certain day, so someone with a character who's worked at the grocery store for a while wouldn't need to 'be a stranger' to Whittle at all.

Just something for immersion purposes!

Before I forget these suggestions (which I mentioned to MacBeth over skype), I'll write them down here. :'D

- Art section for the forums, with sub-forums for character art, roleplay art, and ooc art (or the like)

- Maps of the city and parts of the city, like the layout (and numbering) of the apartment complex, mall, bank, hospital, etc; reference-use.

- List of shops and stores in the mall

- Perhaps a list of (not-limited-to) possible positions for new character ideas to stem off of, just to give folks a direction to head in (similarly, a helpful list of possible weaknesses, skills, mutations, etc, to give folks ideas)
